Honda Motor has decied to sell the new hybrid car around 1.59 million yen, which is the lowest price for a gasoline-electric vehicle in Japan. The move is expected to accelerate the competition of environmental friendly product between Honda and Toyota. And toyota expected to released a new compact hybrid next year which comsume gasoline around 40 kilometre / liter. and have a price tag of around 1.5 million yen.
Honda aims to shore up its hybrid sales with the launch of the new Fit car as sales domestic sales of its Insight hybrids between January and July totaled some 26,000 units, about one-tenth of the 204,882 units of Toyota’s Prius hybrids sold in the same period.

In my point of view, it's a big competition between two big car company, Toyota and Honda. It's a good thing because it will compete in the range of price that will be cheaper and it's good for environment that is a big problem nowadays.
